The Babel Cipher is made by one person, so support is an email address rather than a helpdesk. Bug reports reach the developer directly.
Reporting a bug
A report is easier to act on when it says what you were doing at the time, though send it anyway if you cannot supply all of this.
- Your device and iOS version, from Settings, General, About.
- The difficulty you were playing on.
- What you did immediately before the problem appeared.
- What you expected to happen and what happened instead.
- A screenshot or a screen recording if the problem is visual.
Common questions
A word I know was rejected. The game checks words against a fixed dictionary, which is thin on proper nouns, recent coinages and regional spellings. Send the word and it can go into the next update.
My high scores have gone. Scores live on the device rather than in an account, because the game has neither accounts nor a server. Reinstalling clears them, and they do not move to a new device.
Is there an Android version? Not at present, and if that changes it will be announced on the game page.
Does the game cost anything after download, or show adverts? No. There are no in-app purchases, subscriptions or advertising of any kind.
Accessibility
The game is designed to be readable and unhurried, with difficulty settings rather than a timer. If the interface makes it hard to play, say so, because that is usually easy to fix once reported.
Privacy
The game collects no personal data. The privacy policy sets out what stays on your device.
